Why “Express Track”??

Inhabitants of New York City are always trying to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible. Such a feat would be impossible without one of the world’s largest rapid transit systems. Running 24 hours a day, the New York City Subway is an integral part of life here. New Yorkers both love it and hate it, and we need it to get where we’re going. It would not suit a city of fast movers for all the trains to run local (aka stop at every stop). As a result, we have glorified the EXPRESS train. This baby gets you where you need to go, and FAST!

The organizers in the New York City blues dance scene recognize the growing number of intermediate dancers, and we want to provide you with an opportunity to get where you want to go a little faster. We aren’t saying that you should skip the “local stops” if you need them, but we want to help dancers get from point A to point B as quickly and efficiently as they’re able.

While we are focused on intermediate level dancers, we also recognize the importance of advanced dancers’ need to grow and EXPRESS their dance skills (see what we did there?). As a result, our classes will also help advanced dancers to hone their skills by revisiting or rediscovering topics of blues dance. There is room for ALL of us on the express train, so hop aboard and come learn with us and our roster of amazing instructors!
